About me and music

In addition to studying EEE at Imperial, I am privileged to be one of the Ash Scholars of my cohort, providing myself with the opportunity to study tuition-free at the Royal College of Music.

I also led the viola section of Imperial College Symphony Orchestra (ICSO) from 2023 to 2025, Imperial College Sinfonietta from 2023 to 2024, and have performed with various orchestras within and outside London.

Having won Imperial’s Concerto Competition, I performed Bartok’s Viola Concerto with ICSO in November 2024. I performed the J.C. Bach/Casadesus Viola Concerto with Imperial College String Ensemble in March 2025, and performed the same concerto at the Royal Albert Hall in June 2025.

In my native Singapore, I am a member of the Orchestra of the Music Makers and Musicians’ Initiative. I am passionate about giving back and have been involved with the Hong Kong Music for Our Young Foundation, which provides free music education to underprivileged children in Hong Kong.

I’m grateful to my teacher Bryony Gibson-Cornish for her continued support and Ms. Marietta Ku, my viola teacher in Singapore. Many thanks and appreciation too to Florian Leonhard Fine Violins for their support of an 1898 Antoniazzi viola on loan.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, I am a really private person, so this is as much as I’ll say! If you’d like to know more, please feel free to reach out to me.
